Bharati Bhaban Netaji Granthagar which was established in 1958 and is one of the leargest Library with 18,000 books. In the year 1979 a mammoth open–air stage was added. The foundation stone of the stage was laid down by his excellency Sri T.N. Singh, Governor of West Bengal.

The Bhaban also had a social commitment and philanthropic activities have always been popular here. Through donations granted for charitable purposes victims of natural calamities have been assisted and yearly donation is given to Cheshire Home Burnpur. Educational Institutions in and around have also been benefited. The contribution of Bharati Bhaban in the growth and development of Burnpur has therefore been undeniably substantial and this institution reserves a special place in the history of Burnpur.

His Excellency Shri B.D. Pandey, Governor of West Bengal, also appreciated the cultural activities of Bharati Bhaban. Bharati Bhaban is proude that all international eminent artists either in classical or modern music in their august presence also enriched the field of art and culture in Asansol and Burnpur area.At present a computer literacy centre is running the help of SAIL-ISP (CSR Department) for the poor section of the society. Recently on last 25th Baishakh, Bharati Bhaban inaugurated one Rabindra Smarani with one large oil painting of Gurudev, different portraits of different ages, Sketches done by Rabindranath, Photographs of heritage building of santiniketan. Probably this is the only gallery of Rabindranath in and around of this industrial
